Certification Bibliography

ABPANC is often asked for a bibliography of relevant articles regarding specialty nursing certification.  A comprehensive literature review on nursing certification was conducted by the American Board of Nursing Specialties (ABNS) of which ABPANC is a member organization.  This professional resource is the most up-to-date, comprehensive reference on nursing specialty certification currently available and provides an important source of information on nursing certification in the healthcare environment.  This bibliography includes sources on the value of certification, continued competency, advanced practice certification, and certification outcome studies.  Click here to access the bibliography.

Please note: This bibliography is not intended as a listing of references for purposes of studying for the CPAN® or CAPA® examinations.
