About ASPAN

ASPAN, the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses, is the professional specialty nursing organization representing the interests of more than 55,000 nurses practicing in all phases of Preanesthesia and Postanesthesia care, ambulatory surgery, and pain management.

ABPANC and ASPAN are two separate and independent organizations. The development and administration of the CPAN® and CAPA® certification programs are the sole responsibility of ABPANC.

ASPAN is recognized as the leading association for perianesthesia education, nursing practice, standards and research.

ASPAN is the membership society for perianesthesia nurses.
